Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The Peptide Wiki (thepeptidewiki.org) collects when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run an educational research directory. Last updated: 2026-07-09.

Who we are

The Peptide Wiki is an independent, educational peptide and nootropic research directory published at thepeptidewiki.org. In this policy, "we," "us," and "the site" refer to The Peptide Wiki. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

Information we collect

  • Usage & device data (automatic). When you view a page we and our analytics provider may record standard information such as pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location (derived from IP), browser type, device, and timestamps.
  • Outbound-click data. When you click a vendor or affiliate link, that click passes through a first-party redirect on our own domain (/go/<vendor>). We log which vendor link was clicked, the time, the referring page, your user agent, and IP so we can measure which resources are useful. We do not sell this data.
  • Information you give us. If you subscribe to our newsletter or email us, we collect the email address (and any message) you provide.

We do not knowingly collect health records, medical history, or any special-category personal data. Please do not send us sensitive medical information.

Cookies & tracking technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics 4) to understand aggregate traffic and improve content.
  • Affiliate / click-tracking cookies. When you click an outbound vendor link, our affiliate partners and their networks may set cookies so a resulting purchase is attributed to us. These are how we earn commissions at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use browser "Do Not Track" or ad-blocking tools. Blocking cookies will not break the reading experience, though some analytics may be limited.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the site and its content.
  • To measure which pages and vendor resources are helpful.
  • To attribute affiliate referrals so partner programs can pay commissions.
  • To send our newsletter or respond to you, if you contacted us or subscribed.
  • To protect the site against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

Third parties we share with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers who help us run the site, including:

  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Affiliate networks and vendors whose links you choose to click (they receive the referral and standard click data such as IP and user agent).
  • Email / newsletter providers (e.g., Brevo, Substack) if you subscribe.
  • Hosting and CDN providers (e.g., our hosting provider and Cloudflare) that deliver the site.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, to opt out of certain processing, and to unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any newsletter. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Data retention & security

We keep click and analytics logs only as long as useful for measurement and security, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

We operate from the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
